The art and mustard mill Kleinhettstedt approx. 22 km (max. 23 min. by car) away from Rudolstadt

Here are some things for you to discover!

On the farm there is the restaurant “Zum Mühlenwirt” with regional and national cuisine. Of course you will also find dishes with the original Kleinhettstedt mustard.

The “Senfmühlentenne” is located on the former hayloft above the restaurant. Here you can linger in a rustic atmosphere with coffee and homemade cakes. But there is also the possibility to buy specialities of the region, floral and arts and crafts.

The “Mühlenladen” offers you the possibility to taste the Kleinhettstedter mustard and of course to buy products around the mustard.

Of course, the entire mill ensemble can be visited at any time during opening hours. There is also the possibility of a guided tour. However, this is only possible after prior registration and confirmation. (From 15 persons up to max. 50 persons single guided tour, otherwise with smaller number of persons simply inquire whether one can join a guided tour).

Here there is the long variant with the walk through the old wheat mill, which is technically unique in its unity, as well as the mustard mill and of course the tasting of the mustard. Here you will learn interesting facts about technical and historical peculiarities as well as the history of grain and mustard milling.
Duration: 1 hour to 1 ¼ Hour | Cost: 3 € per person.

The short version lasts about 30 minutes and costs € 1.50 per person. You will receive an introduction to historical and technical details, a walk through the mustard mill and, of course, a tasting of the Kleinhettstedt mustard.
